Practivia

Terms & Conditions

The agreement between you and Practivia when you use the app.

Version 1.1 · Effective 16 August 2026

1. Who you are agreeing with

Practivia is operated by an individual carrying on business as a sole proprietor in India, based in Kolkata, West Bengal. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean that operator, and “you” means the person using the app.

You can reach us at support.practivia@gmail.com.

2. Accepting these terms

You accept these terms when you tick the box on the sign-up screen and create an account. Our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy are part of this agreement — reading all three is the whole picture.

If you do not agree with any part of this, please do not create an account.

3. Who can use the app

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. The app is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account.

If you are using the app in a country other than India, you are responsible for whether local law permits that.

4. Your account

Changing the email address on an account, and deleting an account, are both done by writing to us rather than from inside the app. See the Privacy Policy for what deletion removes.

5. What Practivia is, and what it is not

Practivia is a practice tool. It generates interview questions, lets you answer them, and gives you feedback so you can practise more deliberately than you would on your own.

It is not career advice, recruitment advice, legal advice or professional advice of any kind, and it is not a substitute for preparing properly. Nothing in the app is a promise that you will get an interview, pass one, or receive an offer.

We are not affiliated with any employer named in a job description you upload, and naming a company in the app does not mean that company endorses or is associated with us.

6. AI-generated content

Questions, model answers, explanations and answer scores are produced by a third-party large language model. That is the point of the product, and it is also its main limitation.

AI output can be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong, and it can be confidently wrong. Verify anything you intend to rely on. A score is an indicative practice signal about one written answer — it is not an assessment of your ability, your employability, or anyone else's.

We do not guarantee that any two generations will be alike, that a question will be original, or that the same question will not appear elsewhere. If something looks wrong, please report it to support.practivia@gmail.com — that is how it gets fixed.

Grading written answers is a paid feature and is not available on the free plan. Your answer is still saved; only the grade is withheld.

7. Documents you upload

Before a question set is generated you confirm that the resume is yours and that the job description is for a role you are applying to. That confirmation is a term of this agreement, not a formality.

File types and sizes are limited by the app and enforced on our servers. Whether a document is kept after a set is generated follows the “Keep my files” choice you make on the generation screen, and you can delete a stored document at any time.

8. Acceptable use

While using the app you agree not to:

Responsible security research is welcome — write to us first at support.practivia@gmail.com and we will tell you what is in scope.

9. Plans, credits and limits

What your plan includes — credits, question counts, daily limits and upload allowances — is shown on the Plans screen, and what you have used is shown on the Usage & limits screen. Those screens are the current statement of your entitlements; we deliberately do not repeat the numbers here, where they would go stale.

Entitlements are measured on our servers, and our record of what you have used is the one that counts. Credits are a licence to use the service. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money, and they expire at the monthly reset whether or not you used them.

We may change what a plan includes. If a change reduces what you already paid for, we will tell you in the app before it applies to you.

Referral credits come with anti-abuse controls, including a cap on how many awards one account can earn in a month. Referring yourself, creating accounts to farm credits, or any similar scheme forfeits the credits involved and may cost you the account.

10. Payments

Paid plans are bought through Razorpay on their own hosted checkout page. Card and bank details are handled entirely by Razorpay and never pass through the app.

If money has left your account and your plan has not moved after about fifteen minutes, write to support.practivia@gmail.com with the payment ID from your receipt and we will apply it by hand.

11. Refunds

Refunds and cancellation are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: plans never auto-renew so there is nothing to cancel, and payments are final once a plan is active, except for billing errors and failures on our side.

12. Who owns what

The app, its name, its design, its content and the question bank belong to us or to our licensors. Using the app gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own interview preparation, and nothing more.

What you bring stays yours. Your uploaded documents, your written answers and your notes remain your property. You give us a limited licence to store and process them — including sending them to our AI provider — purely so we can deliver the service to you. That licence ends when you delete the material or the account.

We do not use your documents or answers to train our own or anyone else's models.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used fraudulently, that abuses chargebacks, or that is used to defeat the limits on a plan. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.

Unused credits are forfeited if an account is closed for breach. You can stop using the app whenever you like and ask us to delete your account.

14. Changes to the service and to these terms

The app changes; features are added, and occasionally removed. We may update these terms to keep up. Every version is dated, and material changes are notified in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version; if you do not, you can ask us to close your account.

15. Disclaimers and limits on our liability

The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose. Parts of it depend on third-party services that can fail independently of us.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and specifically not for any interview, offer, promotion or opportunity you believe you lost. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, and nothing affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from content you uploaded that you had no right to upload, or from your use of the app in breach of these terms.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Kolkata, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and we both agree to try to resolve it by writing to each other first.

18. Grievances and contact

Complaints, questions about these terms and anything else go to our Grievance Officer at support.practivia@gmail.com. We acknowledge every grievance within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
